Why appearances matter :)

Allah has not put two hearts in a person’s body.
Surah al-Ahzab: 4

Islam is one package; what you see outside, is what you get
inside.

In Memory Of My Mother by Patrick Kavanagh

I do not think of you lying in the wet clay
Of a Monaghan graveyard;
I see you walking down a lane among the poplars
On your way to the station, or happily Going to second Mass on a summer Sunday–
You meet me and you say:
‘Don’t forget to see about the cattle–’
Among your earthiest words the angels stray.
And I think of you walking along a headland
Of green oats in June,
So full of repose, so rich with life–
And I see us meeting at the end of a town on a fair day by accident,
after the bargains are all made and we can walk
Together through the shops and stalls and markets
Free in the oriental streets of thought.
O you are not lying in the wet clay,
For it is harvest evening now and we
Are piling up the ricks against the moonlight
And you smile up at us — eternally.

Your not Irish if your not having the craic

A Tablighi, a HT, a Sufi and a Salafi are chilling out enjoying a pizza together..

Suddenly the light bulb goes out and in the pitch black silence, someone says, ''OK guys, who's going to change the light bulb?''

The Tablighi speaks up first; 'Wait! My brothers, I think we should first elect an Amir and make mushwara!'

The HT says, 'No! Theres no light. We must first establish a khalifa state and the Caliph will decide how to rectify the situation.

'No, no. Your both wrong' interrupts the Sufi. 'The 4 of us can hold a dhikr gathering and the noor from the dhikr will light up the room!'

The 3 of them then turn towards the Salafi...'Akhis!', replies the salafi, 'Where's your evidence that we need to change the light bulb?'

About Me!

As salam alaykum everyone :),

Wow well this is my first attempt at blogging, inshaAllah my aim is share beneficial things that I come across with y'all. Well about me- I'm blushing already. As you can tell I'm an Irish revert to Islam. I've been Muslim for three years alhamdulilah and am married to a British Pakistani- we met on Single Muslim. com. Hmm I may write about my experience of finding a husband online in the future. Alhamdulilah for me it was a positive experience and I've been married for just over a year. In the summer we had the chance to go on Umrah which was the best time of my life. Even though I was slightly worried about the fact that it would be scorching hot in Saudi I can truly say it wasn't that big of a deal! I must add that I am so white you can practically see every vein.

We also went to Al-Aqsa Masjid as well as travelling to a few other Middle Eastern countries with a lonely planet guide. I urge everyone to make it your habit to make Dua for our brothers and sisters in Palestine and all of this Ummah inshaAllah. May Allah swt help our brothers and sisters in Palestine and grant them victory Ameen.

My hobbies include relaxing oh and relaxing lol

Until next time

Be Good :)
